The BASC has been running for over 10 years at Guillemont and we are an integral part of the day to day running of the school.
We provide a happy, safe, warm and stimulating environment for all children to play, learn and grow personally. The children gain opportunities, through play, to experiment and learn about themselves and the world around them. They gain knowledge in teamwork, respect and general life skills that will nurture and develop them to their full potential in their journey with us through their younger years and hopefully, this in turn will prepare them for their next and future journeys in life.
All children who attend will be treated equally, regardless of their background or needs.
We offer sessions both in the mornings before school starts and the afternoons once school has finished for children in the Years 3-6 attending Guillemont. We are open from 7:45am till 8:30am and again from 3:25pm till 6:00pm every day through term time (we do not operate during holiday times at the moment). We also offer afternoon sessions to children aged 6 and over who do not attend the school but please be aware that we do not offer a pick up service and you will be responsible for arranging this.
We have a fantastic team of staff who are experienced and qualified. We are all committed to ensuring that the children are cared for and that their needs and safety are our first priority. We aim to be a “home away from home” environment in which we always listen to both the children and their parents’ views and help in any way we can. We will discuss with you your child’s achievements, experiences, progress and friendships along with any difficulties that may arise and give support to all.
We aim to make all our activities fun and suitable for various ages and stages of development (supporting the school learning structure). They will be interesting, stimulating and promote each child’s social, physical, moral, personal and intellectual development ensuring that these take part in a safe and supervised environment.
We have arts & crafts, face painting, film nights, Lego, junk modelling, outside activities (weather permitting) and lots, lots more.
As a club and as several of our staff are parents of children of Guillemont, we understand your concerns when choosing the right childcare for your children and the costs that are involved in that decision. This is why we are committed to providing a fair and open admission system that offers a competitively priced and excellent value for money package for the high level and quality of service we provide.
Also, as a provider of registered childcare, we both encourage and actively support eligible parents/carers claiming and taking up the childcare element of the Working Tax Credit and approved Childcare Vouchers.
