Please find detailed below a list of the clubs that we currently run at Guillemont.
| Mondays | Art Club - 3.30-4.30pm. Art Club is run by Miss Premier in SP class room. Lowers first half term and Uppers second half term. There is no charge for this club. Brass - 11.20 - 11.50am. The tutor is Mark Atkins from Hampshire Music Service. Further details can be found at http://www3.hants.gov.uk/education/hms/hms-contacts.htm. Choir - 12.30-1pm. Choir is run by Mrs Beauchamp and takes place in the drama room. There is no charge for this club. Karate – 5-5.45pm. Karate takes place in the school hall and is run by Dave Bishop who can be contacted on 07908 202273. Outdoor Play Club (summer months only) - 3.30-4.30pm. This club is run by Miss Scaife and Miss Premier and takes place on the school grounds. There is a small cost to cover materials when required. Science Robotics - 3.30-4.30pm. This club is run by Mr Cook, Science teacher from Cove School. There is no charge for this club. Tag Rugby - 3.30-4.30pm. Tag Rugby is run by Mr Hynes and takes place on the field (weather permitting). If the weather is bad then it will take place in the school hall. There is no charge for this club. |
| Tuesdays | Dance - Pre-School Dance (from age 2.5 years) 4-4.30pm. Primary Ballet 4.30-5pm. Primary Tap 5-5.30pm. Grade 1 Modern 5.30-6pm (all suitable for ages 5-7). All Dance clubs are run by Kerry Winterton (Kew Dance Academy) and can be contacted on 07990 516604. Football – Lowers only - 3.30-4.30pm. This club is run by a professional sport company called Marcadamy. They can be contacted on 07763 729135. Gardening Club – 3.30-4.30pm. This club is run by Jackie Young, Learning Support Assistant, who can be contacted at the school. Please note this club only runs February to October. Library Late Opening - The library is open for parents and children from 3.30-5pm. Mrs Priestley is in charge of the library. Laptop computers and games are also available. A teacher will read a story to the children. Please feel free to come along. Refreshments are available. Percussion - 3.40-5.20pm. These lessons take place by Scamps Music Services who can be contacted on 08700 132125 between 9am and 5pm or at http://www.scampsmusic.com. |
| Wednesdays | Guitar – 3.20-5.15pm. This club is run by Scamps (Southern County Music Services) and takes place in the drama room. They can be contacted on 08700 132125 between 9am and 5pm. Juggling and Circus Skills - 12.15-12.45pm. This club is run by Mr Foster, Acting Headteacher, and takes place in the school hall. There is no charge for this club. Karate – 6.30-7.15pm (See above for details). Tennis (summer months only) - 7.45-8.40am. The tennis coach is Michael Urvin who can be contacted by email at michael.urvin@ntlworld.com. | Thursdays | Dance - Grade 1 Ballet (age 7-9) 4-4.30pm. Grade 2 Tap (age 7-11) 4.30-5pm. Grade 2 Modern (age 7-11) 5-5.30pm. Grade 2 Ballet (age 9-11) 5.30-6pm. Adult tap 7.15-7.45pm. Adult Jazz 7.45-8.15pm. Please see above for contact details. Football - 3.30-4.30pm - Uppers only. Football is run by Mr Cooper on the school field. Children should change in the community room. There is no charge for this club. Gym – 6.15-7.15pm. The gym coach is Ria Cousins and takes place in the school hall. Ria can be contacted on 07751 216868. Keyboard – Lessons take place during the afternoon and the tutor is Mary Messer from Hampshire Music Services who can be contacted at http://www3.hants.gov.uk/education/hms/hms-contacts.htm. Netball – 3.30-4.30pm. This club is run by Pam Bovington, Language Unit Learning Support Assistant, who can be contacted at the school. Netball takes place on the courts and children should change in the community room. There is no charge for this club. |
| Fridays | Dance - Infant Jazz / Disco (age 4-7) 4.45-5.30pm. Junior Jazz / Disco (age 7-11) 5.30-6.15pm. See above for contact details. Football (Special Needs children only). 12.15-1pm. This football club is run by a company called Skillzone at a small charge of £1.50 per session. Guitar – 12-1.20pm. See above for details. |
All clubs that are run by outside agencies are chargeable. Keyboard, brass and Violin lessons are provided by Hampshire Music Services. Please note that for all instrumental lessons you will need to commit for the whole year as the school books the music teachers in advance. Parents will be invoiced £65 per term, which is spread over the whole year giving children 30 lessons in all. As there are 39 weeks per academic year the children often have more than the allocated 30 lessons. Therefore if your child is unable to have a lesson one week for whatever reason then unfortunately a charge will still be levied.
