Behaviour Principles

At Guillemont Junior school, we believe that children thrive, and then in turn learn best, when they feel safe, secure, valued and respected.  People communicate how they are feeling through their behaviours, whether these be positive or negative.  At Guillemont, we recognise the importance of supporting children to develop positive behaviours and healthy relationships.

Ready, Respectful and Safe

At Guillemont, the following three rules underpin and uphold our beliefs:

We are ready to learn

We are respectful to everyone and everything

We make safe choices

In order to enable them to thrive and achieve in our learning community, we want to teach our children the following values:

A weekly assembly will have a focus on reinforcing the schools values and expectations, ensuring that there is a shared understanding and ownership in school. The values are also taught, and reinforced, throughout the curriculum as the children work their way through the school.
