School Meals

We are excited to introduce Chartwells as our new catering provider, serving wholesome and delicious meals to the children of The Federation of Guillemont Junior and Pinewood Infant Schools starting January 2026.

At Chartwells, they are passionate about encouraging and enabling more children to enjoy a nutritious school meal to get the most out of their day.

Cost of School Meals & How to Pay

  • Meal Price: From January 2026, the cost of a school meal at Guillemont Junior School will be £2.75.

  • Online Payments: You can pay online once you have set up your Tucasi Online Payments Confidential Account. All parents and carers have been sent a letter on how to do this.

  • Ordering Meals: You can view food choices through Scopay, and parents and carers can order meals online one day before the meal is required. Meals can be ordered online up to a week in advance.

  • Advance Payment: All meals must be paid for in advance, as no credit will be given. Payment is required before a meal can be ordered.

  • Support: If you require assistance with your account, please contact Mrs. Vivian Lee on 01252 666846.

Healthy Eating & School Policy

  • Nut-Free School: Due to children with severe nut allergies, we thank you for not sending nuts into school.

  • Healthy Lunchboxes: In line with our policy on healthy eating, we promote healthy lunchboxes for the children. Please be aware that we do not allow chocolate bars or sweets in our school lunchboxes.

  • Morning Snacks: Children are only allowed to bring fruit for their snack at morning break.

Lunchtime Lounge

We recognise that, for some children, playtimes can be rather daunting and an hour of unstructured time might be challenging. For this reason, we invite some of our children to attend lunch in our newly established ‘Lunchtime Lounge’.

  • Atmosphere: Children here will enjoy their lunch in a quieter atmosphere where there are fewer children.

  • Social Development: They will bring with them a friend of their choice. Following lunch, games are organised with a focus on social skills development.

  • Activities: After eating lunch, children play board or card games for 10–15 minutes before going outside, where their play may be supported by a buddy.
